Corn Maze - Friday October 29, 2010

Today was fellowship day!!! But before I get on with that. It was the final day of our United Week, darn, it passed by so fast... didn't even get to enjoy to the max yet! So got my math mark back, getting a 95... IB mark is 93 and the rest, not too sure. I hope I can continue with such marks otherwise I am screwed. After that, I decided to check out Badminton club. It was filled to the brim with asians as usual and so I went to Chinese Cultural Club. We played a chinese version of "Bang!" a really awesome game.

After that it was time for Corn Maze. Before we arrived at church where we were carpooled to the corn farm. My friend got me a big box of rice cookies and 2 yogurts. I could not totally finish all that and I shared it amongst my friends. After that, we got a car-ride and basically it was just LONG. First off, we were going on Highway 401 and guess what, we were supposed to get on Highway 404 but we missed it. That added a bit more time to the clock but the most was getting lost as we got close to the corn farm. We had to call one of the management people to get to the location. The whole time, I was at the back seat getting my bum squished by people and I was bored. It was an hour and a half ride in total.

When we got there, the fun happened, we rushed into the corn farm and there was 3 different trails: one for children, one with mild difficulty and one really hard. We decided to try the really difficult one and we finished it in a pretty quick time. It was definitely a great experience in the corn farm being with a few friends and running all over the place and getting lost while we were at it. There were signs with questions about the Toronto Maple Leafs and I was just basically lost when I came to answering them. Then we decided to finish the mild one and that went by pretty fast. Lastly we decided to go in the really hard one again without any flashlights and boy we failed hard. We got lost for like 30 minutes on one trail and guess what, we had to call for help. This was just a terribly sad moment of my life and while we were waiting I was just disappointed at how fail we were. Finally the corn maze manager came to save us. He gave us two options, either to cut through the corn maze or walk along the paths. I suggested cutting through but my group didn't want to because they didn't want to get hurt. Bunch of softies!!!!!

So on our car ride home, my bladder reminded me of its fullness and I totally forgot about it during our corn maze action. Waited for like 33 minutes until we got back to the church and boy was I relieved when I emptied it!.

United Way Week - Thursday October 28, 2010

Monday was the start of United Way Week and the time when I did my all-nighter. In total, I slept like 2 hours because me and my partners had to prepare for this Financial Securities presentation. Constantly, he would have to go outside to get some cool air to wake himself up while I was like feeling high. It felt like I was dreaming but yea, we worked hard and guess it all paid off, when we were presenting. Just before the presentation, we had a United Way Assembly. Guess what we were doing, we skipped the assembly and went to practice our presentation. Smart eh?

After that, it went by and Thursday came. This was United Way Fundraising event where each class held a booth to fundraise money for United Way. Basically, they were just snatching money from student's pockets as they buy overpriced items and food. There were booths selling water, canned drinks, cookies, muffins, coke float, candy, ring toss, haunted house, bubble tea place and a lot more. I decided to buy bubble tea which was $2, and guess what, I was given a cup of powdered strawberry flavoured drink with some nonchewy tapioca. Total RIP-OFF!!
The one booth I loved the most was silly string assassin. Basically, you pay $3 to get one of your friends get sprayed with silly string. I decided to pay $6 to get some person silly stringed twice. One after another. It was my happiest moment ever. and funny. Then I found a can of silly string and started my rampage of silly stringing my friends. AWESOME TIME and I lost a lotta money too. Oh well, guess its worth it since its all goes to United Way!

Guyz Night Out - Friday October 22, 2010

Today, got back my math test but at the same I had to do my math quiz. I did quite bad on the math quiz since it was out of 10 marks and I didn't understand the last question at all. It was worth 2 marks so at most I could only get 8 marks. Math test was pretty bad, got a 31.5/35. Pretty bad but I will definitely have to try harder. Math is getting so hard nowadayz.
Went to go brawl at a friends house and hurried to fellowship.

Was late but I was still there, which all counts! Basically, today was called the Guy's Night Out where all the guyz hang out together and do stupid things. First we had a scavenger hunt where we had to take picture with Canadian Tire employ
ee, pet a dog, sing 'O Canada', chase a bus, lie on the road, switch clothes, take a picture of a personalized car tag, sleep on a bed, hang upside down on the monkey bars, take a picture of a traffic light as it get to 2 and many more things.
After that, we went out again to a nearby park to play some games in the dark. First off, it was man-hunt where everyone had a tape behind their back except 2 people. Those 2 would go after the rest and continue to take the tape of every
one's back until everyone's are off. Then we played a game where we were separated into teams of 5 and 4 people would hold a kind of grip to lift up the one light person. This light person would act like a shooter with a can of some party squeeze thing and spray it on the opposing teams. Lastly, we had a game where everyone was separated into two teams and they would have to lift the opposing players up and say british something and they would recruited to the other team. It went on for awhile until a lot of people got h
urt, there were tackling and a lot of rough stuff happening.

Then we went indoors because it started getting really dark and cold. Firstly, we decided to use all our cell phones to see if the popcorns would pop caused by the radiation of all the cell phones. It failed. Then we had everyone call the girls who were doing their girl's night out all at the same time. So all the girls would have their phones suddenly ringing at the same time and then us on the other end, yelling into their phones. After that, we tried playing pass the pocky with toothpicks and marshmallows. Basically, we use a toothpi
ck to take the marshmallow from the other person and pass it around. It failed though so we played chubby bunny. You just stuff as many marshmallows as you can in your mouth and each time you stuff a marshmallow, you try and say the phras
e chubby bunny. I could only stuff 6 in my mouth. SO SAD.
After that, our counselor bought us KFC, and we ate double down. It was my second time eating it and it tasted so good! and we actually finished all the food within minutes of receiving it. It shows how much guyz eat. After that, rock band on the play station! I was playing guitar and drums and getting better at it after each song!

Cool new games. - Sunday, October 17, 2010

I must say, after Friday's push-up's my arms are terribly sore even after 2 days of rest. I am so out of shape. Too much sitting on the chair and using my brain. I should get more exercise but work comes first as always. Today, I was lucky enough to get a car ride to a coordinator's house otherwise I would have to walk 45 minutes. I hate walking, its so slow and boring. Enough said. When we got there, we watched an awesome video of people doing drills. They were like beast, basically there were two groups of 6 by 6 people. At first, they are lined up like 20 ft from each other and they walk in a diagonally in the shape of an X. If you can picture it, usually you would imagine things colliding at the point of intersection on the X. However I was so surprised when they were able to pass through it without any crashes and they were able to do the same thing while walking backwards as well. Then they even ran in an X as well which was just AMAZING. I am pretty sure that took a lot of practice.
At his house, I was looking around when I spotted a
StarCraft II box and boy, I was amazed at all the new things in StarCraft. The cover looked awesome as well.

My friend came across the new wii-mote thing for PlayStation III, it looked exactly like a wii-mote but cooler. There was a squishy ball at the front. Apparently its called a motion controller. IT LOOKS SO COOL!

Push-ups - Friday October 15, 2010

My arms are numb/sore from doing so many push-ups. During lunch, we played a game called indian poker. Basically, each person is dealt a card and they must put it on their foreheads without seeing the card. Then they look at the cards of the other people and bet push-ups or other stakes. A would be the highest card and 2 would be lowest. Usually our bets resulted in 50 push-ups in the pot and the loser would have to do it all at once. It is a game based on luck and tactics too. Pretty fun!

Awesome Lunch - Thursday October 14, 2010

For once, I spent my whole lunch period in the cafeteria. Usually, I would just finish my lunch quickly and get up to the school library to continue studying and working. This time, I was done with any tests and homework and so I went to have some fun. Some funny dude introduced a new game which was saying a pick-up line to a random girl in the cafeteria. Basically, each person would be dealt a card and the person with the lowest card would have to say that "pick-up line" to the girl. I had opted out because firstly, too embarrassing and secondly, I don't do these things! Usually they said the lines to the a girl I knew so it would be even worse having to say it to someone you know. You feel bad for them but at the same time, you get all embarrassed.

I can only list two(actually three) examples of the pick-up lines and the rest I had forgotten.

First off, I will describe the situation. The guy had lost the game and we had picked a girl from the table across from us. I had known her and she had a boyfriend and stuff. He said he was ready and walked behind her and put two hands on her shoulder to get her attention. He said, "you must be tired because you have been running through my mind all day". The girl's expression was hilarious, she was lost and bewildered as he said the line. I was laughing so hard with a few others at our table

Next, another guy had to say, "I see a mirror in your pocket cause I can see myself in your pants". The girl got so red, her friends were laughing so hard as well.

Finally, it was nearing the end of the period, the person who had came up with this game had lost. He just randomly picked a girl walking by and walked up to her and said, "Is that a keg in your back pocket? Cause I'd tap that ass anyday" The guyz that were walking beside her laughed so hard!!

After that, my day became terrible. It began to rain and I had to go to tutor. While I was waiting on the bus, we had lots of traffic and with the addition of the main road, yonge getting cut off and with the rain, it was just terrible. I was on the bus for like one and a half hours when it usually took 45 minutes.

Photoshop Newb - Monday October 11, 2010

(first time using photoshop don't laugh pls)

Yea... I admit it, in all my years using a computer, I had never even given any thought about using photoshop. Finally, I have found that photoshop is necessary if you want to make some pictures that look good and reflect the ideas that you have in mind. Rather than just copy and pasting a picture from google, I can just do some brush up on the pictures and make them look even better.

Math & Scholarships - Saturday October 9, 2010

GAAAHH I am so sick of scholarships and math. In the morning, I spent like a few hours looking up all kinds of scholarships from small to big like Loran Award and TD Bank Awards. I am pretty sure I cannot win the big scholarships because to be honest, there are a lot of way smarter people out there. It would be a waste of time to write a few essays to enter for the large awards when you know you have a slim chance. It would be better to focus on the smaller ones because there is less competition. While serving on the net for some small scholarships, I find out that many of them have some kind of requirement which is barely applicable for me. I hate this... then there are those that don't seem to be trust able. It seems like they are just fake and trying to take your information.

If I want to try for the scholarships from lets say studentawards, I will be competing with lots of people while some small scholarship sites would have less visitors. Its always a trade-off.

After that, I spent another few hours trying to get ahead in math. My math totally fails, I spent like 3 hours just to understand one subsection of a unit.

Gawwd - Friday October 8, 2010

Today I thought we were going to receive our IB tests but I guess I was wrong. I wasn't looking forward to it because I didn't do so well. I must step up my game otherwise .... bad things will happen. Today I had to go see the librarian and she gave me an assignment. Basically I have to research about TDSB's Code of On-Line Conduct. I think you should have a slight idea what I had done. It was like this, it was period 5 and I had a spare with a bunch of friends. We had a big CS party in the library and unfortunately, two of us got caught (me included). And now I have an assignment to do and if I don't my account will get disabled. Oh well, this is me being a bad kid.

After school, I had to go see the doctor at 4:40. Guess when I actually saw the doctor? 5:50. I waited there for over an hour but I had brought books along to pass the time. Unfortunately, I sat next to a spouse who had 3 little kids. The kids were crying the whole time and that's like an hour. I could hardly concentrate with the crying going on.

Learned how to finally use a semi-colon!

Stressful - Thursday October 8 2010

Yea its been a whole week since I have updated this blog. Sigh.. everyday its school that I am worried about. This is the final year of high school. Yipee and finally I can leave my horrid house. Basically, for this whole week, I have been visiting several doctors. On Monday I saw my dentist and he told me that my last 2 wisdom teeth have grown out and are ready to be taken out. FYI, I have already lost 2 of them already. He says that some dentists usually take out all 4 wisdom teeth at once and your cheeks actually get swollen. But he wants to allow me to eat more easily so he would only take out 1 wisdom tooth every like 2 weeks or so. Also, he told me I had to go see another dentist to get braces.
On Tuesday, I went to go see a chiropractor. Nothing much happened.
On Friday, I am gonna see my family doctor about some "disease" I have, which my parents say.

Got my accounting test today, got a 31/35. Pretty bad if I am aiming for a 90+ avg. Next time I will do better for sure. I was so pizzed when I got back my test but for some people they thought my mark was good. Oh well, people have different standards and I guess my standards are just a little wee bit different from theirs.
Gonna get back my IB test tomorrow.!!

Been a month already - Friday, October 1, 2010

Its been a month into school now and boy oh boy, the workload is increasing as each day goes by. I don't know how I can manage in the future. I have been going home, sleeping for like 2 hours and then straight studying and working till 2am. This goes on and on even during weekends and I barely finish all the work.
This month has actually passed by really fast and I am worried about university already.
Just a few days ago, actually 2, I had an accounting test. It was basically 6 multiple choice questions and 4 financial statements with some analysis of those financial statements. I finished the multiple choice in pretty fast except for one question which baffled me. I was digging into my balance sheet until I noticed it didn't balance. I was so worried because there was 20 minutes before the test was over and dr and cr column didn't balance. I said to myself, if I must fail, then I guess I will but guess what I finally balanced it in like 10 minutes. I was so happy but I was still not finished at 3:30. Worked for another few minutes before the teacher threatened to leave without our tests. By then, I finished and was happily handing my test in. My hand was numb from being nervous and having to write so much.
