(Wish that could happen to me!)
Today, it was the first day when our soph's decide to wake us up early with a loud and very loud morning call by knocking our doors, yelling, screaming, using a horn, almost everything they can possibly do to try and wake us up. It took awhile before many of us could pick ourselves out of bed and go down to eat breakfast. However there was one girl who was not able to wake-up even with all the racket. We went down to practice our SAUGEEN cheers and into a Dating Show. Basically, it explained to us how guys given the circumstances, would move-in and kiss a girl if they think the girl makes a move, even when its only having a hand on their leg. Logically speaking and from a guy's standpoint, it seems right but from the third-person's view, its just total beeswhack when you think it over again. So, body language is not the way to go to determine if the girl wants a kiss or not. In the end, our speaker told us to always ask because if your not comfortable asking, then your not ready to take the action. There was this scenario which I really loved. It starts off with the guy and girl having a great time and enjoying their date. It's nighttime and it's all quiet. The guy wants to kiss her and says, "Hey, it was a great night and I really enjoyed it! May I give you a kiss?" The girl rejects with a "No". Although the guy is disappointed, he replies "I'm glad I had asked because I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable." That totally deserved an 'awww' moment. That just about wraps up our Dating Show. Lunch was on its way and after that, we had to practice our cheer numerous times before we went into the welcoming ceremony where we shouted our cheers. It was just like a normal welcoming ceremony, nothing special except that they made it so each rez and faculty could present their cheers. There was a hypnotist and I had a great laugh from it. Then there was a dance but I ditched and went downtown to get some dinner.
